stapp one at the 17th WFH International Muscoskeletal Online Congress
The 17th edition of the International Muscoskeletal Congress took place from May 3rd to 7th where stapp one was represented by one of our partners and an informative e-poster. The physiotherapist and stapp one partner Daniel Taubenschmid from CIM (Competence in Motion) participated in two online workshops and told us about his experiences.
The International Muscoskeletal Congress is all about international exchange. It should be an incentive for research on hemophilia and its therapeutic options. So the focus is particularly on patients and their treatment. This is also a main concern for our stapp one partner physiotherapist Daniel Taubenschmid from CIM. At the congress he took part in two interesting workshops. One about Clinical Cases, an interactive workshop with 20 participants from all over the world and one about Manual Therapy.
“I was excited about the possibilities such an online event offers. Especially the international professional exchange and that it encourages the collaborative development of treatment options,” Daniel Taubenschmid said.
Precise partial weight-bearing assessments with stapp one
One focus of Taubenschmid’s practice in Graz (AUT) is hemophilia and partial weight-bearing therapy. For treatments he relies on the added value stapp one provides. The intelligent stapp one sensor sole measures the patient’s foot pressure load and center of gravity. The corresponding medical software wirelessly provides visual, haptic and/or acoustic live biofeedback. This allows the therapist to accurately monitor whether their patient’s pressure load is correct or not. Another possible approach with stapp one can be more playful – using the live biofeedback patients can control and correct themselves during training. stapp one also offers the possibility to collect objective data and compare different assessments to determine progress or changes. The precise and objective data immensely improves therapy possibilities and therefore provides an enormous added value for patients.
Abstract provides interesting insights
Daniel Taubenschmid recorded his experiences with stapp one as a case study abstract and submitted it to the 17th International Musculoskeletal Congress. Due to the interesting insights, it was presented during the congress in the form of an e-poster and received extremely positive responses.
